The Lions are one of the young and up-and-coming teams in the NFL, and we are extremely excited to see how both parties grow through this partnership.

Through this partnership, Verizon becomes the exclusive wireless telecommunications provider of Ford Field, and the benefits that each side of this deal gets are phenomenal. Verizon will become the official sponsor of the annual halftime show of the Lions’ Thanksgiving game as part of this deal, and this halftime show has been headlined by artists such as Jack Harlow, Bebe Rexha, and Big Sean over the last couple of years.

This weekend, NASCAR superstar Chris Buescher will be welcomed back to Texas Motor Speedway for the AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 400 Cup Series race at 2:30 p.m. CT. This is the one and only Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend, and NASCAR fans from across the country are traveling to Fort Worth for this highly-anticipated race.

This race is a big deal for Chris because of how close to home it is for him. He was born in Prosper, Texas, and he says that this is a race that he looks forward to every single year. It’s not an everyday thing that drivers get to race in front of their friends and family all while being within an hour’s drive away from home, and this is exactly what Chris has the privilege of doing this weekend.

During Chris’ Media Day at Texas Motor Speedway, he detailed why this race is so special to him and his excitement leading up to the race. Media Day was over three weeks ahead of the race, and he was already gushing with excitement for this upcoming race.

Noah Weber and Neil Farquharson both attended Chris’ Media Day Press Conference on March 21, and he even took members of the media for rides around Texas Motor Speedway with the help of the Team Texas Racing School after that. Buescher drove the ConectUS Car for the entire event, and the media loved getting to interact with a NASCAR superstar in his element. After Media Day ended, Danny Luna of Univision 23 DFW broadcasted a live television segment on pit road, and the ConectUS Car was right behind him to give his standup the perfect aesthetic.

This is the fourth year that Saint Bartholomew has put on a fundraiser for the Friends of Haiti ALFA Literacy program, and this is the first year that it has been a March Madness theme. The ALFA Literacy program helps adults in Haiti learn to read and write, and ConectUS is looking forward to sponsoring this event for the second straight year.

“We are excited to be sponsoring this wonderful event for the second straight year,” ConectUS Wireless President and General Manager John Scully stated. “This is for a great cause and we can’t wait to see how Saint Bartholomew continues to help Haiti.”

ConectUS Wireless is the Slam Dunk Sponsor for this event, and helping those in need is something that we strive to do whenever we can. Through these adults learning to read, they can help teach their children to learn to read and write as well, while also becoming more independent.

Chris Schwartz is part of the fundraising committee for the Friends of Haiti at Saint Bartholomew, and she has taken five groups to Haiti herself. In an exclusive interview with ConectUS Wireless, Chris detailed the Friends of Haiti program at Saint Bartholomew and shared several amazing stories about how the ALFA Literacy program has changed lives in Limonade, Haiti.

“We want to level out this fundraising to reach everyone in our community and to spread the word about why literacy is so important,” Chris told ConectUS Wireless. “It’s a basic right of every human person and it makes a life-changing difference.”

One of Chris’ favorite parts about leading these trips to Haiti and helping teach adults literacy is the joy that they have when they write their names for the first time. She said that many people cry tears of joy when they write their names for the first time, and it is an extremely rewarding experience.

Chris is thankful for ConectUS Wireless’ generous donation, and we are looking forward to continuing this partnership in years to come.
